This year’s main production is the fantastic operatic double-bill of Cavalleria Rusticana and I Pagliacci.
Directed by Rahcel Skinner and Phil Ypres-Smith it is proving to be a dramatic pairing. Both novices to opera and regaulr audiences will find the plots easy to understand as they are based on the Schirmer English translations, and are bite-sized chunks of operatic splendour.
