MIDLAND OPERA, in brief...

Midland Opera is an amateur full-chorus opera company with professional standards. Run as a membership, our productions are sung in English and range from popular classics to rare operas.
Members enjoy the benefit of a week's production of a fully-costumed, orchestrated opera within a well-appointed theatre environment.
Rehearsals take place each Thursday at St. George's Church, Highfield Rd, Edgbaston and the rehearsal schedule heightens in September/October.
Spring and Christmas concerts help fund the operas and keep members' vocal cords oiled, and are also an opportunity for aspiring soloists to be heard.

The company's chorus and principal singers achieve high standards and critical acclaim through teamwork and dedication to the whole project. Driven by excellent and creative leaders. And Midland Opera appears on many an operatic résumé.

Vocal coaching is also available to those wishing to seek vocal development.
