Our Friends
Friends of Midland Music Makers Opera Company
Each year, a group of people known as ‘Friends of MMM’ provide donations (small and large) which combine to help us achieve our artistic aims.
They are from all walks of life. Some are impressed audience members, some ex-MMM members. They have one thing in common: They believe in us enough to donate a small amount each year to help us continue.
We are extremely grateful to all our Friends for their continued support in these difficult times. They are a valued part of MMM, and we would encourage anyone with an interest in keeping opera alive and accessible in Birmingham to become a Friend of Midland Music Makers.
Friends will recieve priority tickets to our Spring Concert, and priority booking for the Main operas, plus regular updates on our progress.
The Friends organisation was – from the beginning – run by by Arthur Street, MMM Founder, and it is due to his diligence and enthusiasm for opera that we have such great group of supporters.
Arthur recently passed away, and in his stead, Barry Matthews (a former chairman of MMM) has promised to develop the organisation.
